we have a samsung lcd 40" tv and a samsung blue ray with apps. our dsl router downstreams at 768 and upstreams at 128 high speed. when watching videos from netflix (one of the apps that came with the blue ray) we have pauses and startups. i have cleared the cashe and cookies from our pc (dell running vista). what next?

what router do you have?
Look into qos and set the bluray player highest priority.
You're speeds are not the fastest for streaming, but aren't too bad, as the d/l is the important number.

router sbc 2wire wireless and how do i set the blue ray as highest priority?

You can't.... Saddly your router doesn't have QoS, Quality of Service.
You'd only be able to do it by adding a router to the network which can do QoS.
Hmmm, Are you connecting wirelessly? If so, go into the 2wire config and set the wireless channel to either 12 or 1.. Far away from the default channel which is usually 6.

standard 2wire that i received when i signed up with sbc. wireless, but i have a mac hooked up to it and a dell on wifi.

Okay, as far as I understand that QoS, it has to do with from your router back to sbc.
But if I'm wrong, the activating it, should allow you to specify an ip or MAC address of an item, and give it high priority.
