Assistance with MSN

Hello. First time poster here. I apologize if this info has already been answered; I have not been able to find it. I am attempting to fix an issue with MSN running on a Vista Home Premium laptop. When the issue was presented to me, MSN would crash whenever a user would try to launch the program, ie; double click MSN, immediate "MSN has stopped working" window. I have been attempting to re-install MSN, but the error I am coming across now is that once the user login info is entered, MSN states that no internet connection can be detected, or that the MSN server may be down. I have my doubts that it is the latter.

I hope this is enough information. If it is not, please say so and I will attempt to recover whatever is needed to fully solve this problem.

Thank you for your time and info in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

First, I need you to confirm that the laptop PC can connect to the Internet.

Once you have done that please provide as much other information as you can regarding how this is achieved.

i.e. Wireless or wire connected networking & are there any user restrictions applied to the laptop
(Business Vista or company user restrictions, etc. etc.)

OK?
