Here is my problem, after burning a movie on computer, the dvd burnt or any other dvd(store bought) will not play on computer. Now if I shut off computer and turn back on it will play and so will other dvd's until I burn the next movie and it starts all over again. I just had dell replace dvd rwriter so I hope it's not player, the last player I had played cd's burned dvd's but would not read any dvd using any program( windows media player, dvd shrink, dvdfab or anydvd). The dvd now at least is read by dvdfab and anydvd but won't play unless I turn off and then back on. Any suggestions I tried to google it but found nothing, I do have 15 more days with warranty for my dell if all elses fails.

What happens when you try to play the DVD's after a burn- do you get any error messages?

Are you using "verify" when you burn? It may be that you're removing the DVD before the burning program is finished. You could check in Task Manager\Applications.

The dvd plays after I restart computer, I can't get it to play after the burn. Windows Media Player says there is no disc, if I restart computer then Media Player sees disc and plays it. I used two different burn software img burn and roxio and the same thing happened both times.
