"There is a problem with this windows installer package.a program required for this install to complete could not be run.contact your support personnel or package vendor."

"The installer encountered errors before itunes could be configured.
Errors occurred during installation.your system has not been modified.
Pls run the installer again or click finish to exit"

Have you tried to download iTunes again and attempt to reinstall it? Sounds like there was an error with the download more than anything. There could also be some Windows Installer corruption if my prior suggestion doesn't work. In that case I would scope out Windows Installer 4.5 from the Microsoft site... Let me know if the first one works, or if we need to proceed with the second.

Try downloading any latest version of iTunes software. There must be some latest files which are required for the installation which could only be found in latest version only.
