    Back 2 Vista,from Corupted win 7 install

    Hello forum,
    trying to get back to my original OS=win vista home basic-HP OEM.
    REsearched Shippment of original OEM Install/recovery disk(s)
    to no avail.After Bad image

    System Model RZ537AA-ABA SR5010NX
    System Manufacturer Compaq-Presario
    BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 5.12, 18/04/2007
    SMBIOS Version 2.4
    System Type x64-based PC
    Compaq-Presario SR5010NX

    Recovery Partition Blown out.
    Running OS win7 U/to win8 to have an OS
    After many tries to locate win vista installer(w/out SP-)
    I installed a crack win 7 so could be up and running
    any ideas on how to downgrade to original vista OS?

    Any procedure I have missed with OEM distributions?
    Also is there a win8 upgrade for win vista?
    just want to know if there are other options to reinstalling Original OS?

    Let's get you off that cracked o/s.

    Why do you want vista without any service packs if I may ask?

    There is an upgrade deal to win8 available from oct 26 th for $40 at online MS store- if you have vista/7 installed that will count.


    Win8 is horrible on a desktop - but it's probably the cheapest way for you - unless you get the vista d/l from digital river which includes SP1.

    Thanks for the response,

    I have tried to use the SP1 vr. from MSDLC
    error can not install w/ SP1 Installed(win7)?
    but I had win8 installed preveiw vr.
    DL win vista to try to return to that OS but failed-
    Maybe time to wipe the drive and start over?
