Do you have a digital cable box? A standard TV tuner card will only accept analog cable and digital antennae. If your Digital Cable box has a digital output like HDMI or component level, you may be able to pick up an input card for your PC.

This is directly off of the Hauppauge website: "WinTV-NOVA-T-500 is a high sensitivity dual DVB-T receiver. Connect a digital TV aerial to the WinTV-NOVA-T-500, and you can watch and record DVB-T digital TV on your PC, in a window or full screen. With the dual digital tuners on WinTV-NOVA-T-500, you can record one digital TV channel while watching another. Or record two digital TV programmes at once!"
This means that yes, you can connect a digital TV antennae to this card, but you CANNOT connect digital cable to this card. TV tuners cards do not have the decoders for the digital cable signals.

Yes we have digital cable in the UK, but its nagravision encrypted and Media centre doesnt support softcams etc.
We also have Freeview which is Digital through your standard TV ariel.

Hi guys i bought a Gadmei utv 330 usb tv tuner. have installed all drivers but no sound can be heard thus i cant record on my labtop pavillian dv 6525 ei.
I pic up signal on the mic input but no sound from the speakers. i have check 200 times that all drivers are up to date.
Pls can someone help????
