Crackling pop sounds. ASUS M2N-E SLi CM6501

Hi all, just build up my new PC with a friend, i have a Asus on board audio CM6501, and they connected to Creative P5800 5.1 sound system, I am having popping and crackling sounds from all speakers, at start of sound tests and during playing resident evil 4, also when playing songs.

I ve upgraded and down graded the drivers, also messed aroung with the Xear 3d sound set up, turing it to 2 channel and min speakers to maxing it out, i cant get rid of the cracking and poping sounds at the start of audio use.

Anyone got any ideals? is it waiting x64 audio driver? to sort this problem out?

ok, we have put different drivers on it now, from an m2n sli deluxe, as my frined has this pc and its the same audio ship set, we also checked the pc power to all componets from optimum to performance settings in control panel options, this has done the trick, the crackling and popping has now gone, back to a modded resident evil 4 game now,,ummm where is that hand cannon?

I've tried for 3 months to get a Creative Xi-Fi card to work with an ASUS P5n32-e SLI board and also can't find a working driver for the on board sound. What are we using?

I have on my P5E WS Pro motherboard Asus' drivers installed and i have problems both in vista and in xp. Downloading the new drivers right now, does anybody know will that do the trick? Cuz this crackling sound is driving me nuts!!
