Realtek claims installed, volume mixer says no

I'm sure this has been dealt with, but I had my realtek HD installed perfectly fine and I deleted tunebite because I don't use it anymore and what do you know, my sound claims to be installed but when I open volume mixer it says no audio is detected. Does this mean I should try an OS reinstall? I tried three different realtek drivers and none have solved the problem.

Uninstall the drivers via the Control Panel..totally get rid of them. Reboot and then install the latest drivers from the Realtek site. Reboot. Goes without saying that you will need the 64 bit drivers, of course.

Use Classic View in Control Panel, then goto Programs and Features. Uninstall the drivers.

I reinstalled I couldn't take it anymore. Also my motherboard had a bios update released apparently for that issue it looks like. Talk about a pain in the you know what reinstalling but they just posted it not too long ago the update.

K. Yes it can be a pain, but at least you know you have a healthy system again and yer Bios updates are really important to keep an eye out for. Glad it works now anyways.
