MAybe someone knows the problem here. This doesn't always happen but most times it does. The mouth doesn't match the voice when I'm in TV. 3.4 2 core Intel, 32 bit, Windows Media Center Ultimate. ATI Radeon X600 Video card. Any ideas
Yes, Media Center Ultimate with an ATI video card. Doesn't happen all of the time, most of the time though. I have downloaded all of the latest updates from ATI, but... cable straight into the HD TV card, no box. Comcast supplies the feed.
Thanks,
Maybe I read you question wrong. when I am watching TV through media center it does this. I have not tries any other software for watching TV so I do not know the difference.
thanks,
Have you got it connected to an amp at all, or just to computer speakers? If it is connected to an amp, they usually have a lipsync correction feature.
connected just to the computer speakers and not through an amp. It is odd that it doesn't happen all of the time, most of the time, but not always. When it does not match, it is severe, probably close to a second off. The TV card is a HD TV card and it says it supports Vista, but...? I am running the cable directly to the card and not through a decorder box either.
OK. Can u tell me exactly what the make and model of the TV card is please? Also there is usually a bundled software TV watcher-thingy(!) from the card maker. Have you tried that to see any difference with the media center and that?
HD TV...Hi Def requires a lot of processing, so maybe you could be getting these occasional skips when the PC is processing in the background..such as the indexing service which runs silently in the background.
How long have you had the ATi graphics card? I am not into ATi so I dont really know how old it is, but if its quite old then I suspect it could be another reason you are having these problems. Updated to the new drivers?
