| Re: New vista X-Fi audio driver from creative That's kind of odd. Did it detect before the driver update? Also, have you tried putting it in another PCI slot? Did you check BIOS and make sure there's nothing that would keep that from working? |

| Re: New vista X-Fi audio driver from creative Any ideas why i randomly get a hissing in my left ear almost like static noise and then to make it go away i have to play music really loud and it almost pops back to normal. This happened before and after the driver install and only happened with vista, its not headphones as ive tried 3 different ones. Very strange and somewhat annoying. It happens maybe once a day. |

| Re: New vista X-Fi audio driver from creative I'm having major problems with my X-Fi Platinum. Resulting in BSOD's and systems restores(thank god for that)!! Now I have gotten so far as to getting the old(none working) driver off and installed the new driver... BUT... no sound and a yellow exclamation point in my device manager. Any ideas as how to get it to work fully? |

| Re: New vista X-Fi audio driver from creative You probably need to reinstall the driver if it's got a yellow exlamation mark by it. You could try to double-click the faulty item in your device manager and then choose "update driver" or whatever it's called. Either that or get the full download from the Creative website and simply install from there. |
