Hi,
I have an acer laptop with a built in microphone above the screen. I prefer to use a headset, however, but found that I couldn't hear myself talk in the headphones. So, I went to "Sound" in the control panel to check my playback volume. Every time I to the "recording" area my pc freezes and I have to cold restart. My microphone works but it's hard to tell that if I can't hear any playback. Is there anything I can do to fix this or do you know what might be causing it? Thanks. 7th |

I found the solution to this today! Go to Control Panel, and you should see Acer HD Audio Manager. From there you can change the microphone back to the way it was without freezing! Finding this out saved me about $100 in fees that Best Buy wanted to charge to fix it. Spread the word!
