Hi,

I got a problem with the Audiodg.exe process, problem is that sometimes it uses from 5% cpu and jumps to 50% and more and when playing this makes everything choppy and even cause mouse lagg..

As fast as i tab down the game the process drops to 5-10 and if I tab in again it jumps and holds on for several sekunds/minutes and then everything works fine and some minutes later it starts again.

This Hapends when playing all sort of games but mostly hapends in Counter Strike Source, and Windows Media Player, when watching films or listening to music but when doing that it gets worse and making the sound to lagg or slowdown etc.

Any idea? got all the latest drivers exept for bios becouse Asus bios are unstable, and i cannot switch audio drivers becouse i got 4gb of ram and only the latest creative drivers work with 4gb...

Hope you understand everything :)

Spec:

Have you tried the forums at Creative to see what their loyal customers say? The problem is not Vista, it's that Creative is not supporting Vista with any of their current sound cards. As a matter of fact, they have deliberately sabotaged the drivers (and as much as admitted to doing so) and are going to come out with "new" cards very shortly that actually do work with Vista. They will be the same cards, but with driver support. They expect you to buy those new cards. I won't. Will you? I took MY XtremeGamer back to the store I bought it from and got my money back.

I'm actually at a loss because I have never bought a card that wasn't made by Creative, and now I won't buy one that IS made by Creative..............

I Know all about that, thats why im posting here because creative will never do another driver, and yes you are right this time they will do the same that X-FI 2 will work perfectly on Vista but when Windows 7 will be out they will say that something else blocks their cards from working on windows 7 and the story will go arround and arround, but now i got this problem and i got my card for a year now, and get my money back isnt an option right now, because they wont do that.

I phoned the Swedish support of CL and i have to admitt they got good support in Sweden, they test everything etc, and good service to, to bad that it isnt so for the whole company, here is a proof= When my Zen Micro Was dead (the screen flickered) and the store didnt want to change it they said it was a normal firmware problem, so i phoned CL and they i got another one a week later and it was 1gb more of harddrive (from 5gb to 6) so their support in Sweden is quite good but in other locations they suck big time,

Hm will do another account on CL Forums got banned because of linking to Daniel K's drivers :S

Hope that Daniel_K will work something up.

LOL when I started reading your reply I was going to say check out DanielK but you already know about him. There is a thread here where someone got their creative sound card to work, but to be honest I don't think they got all the high end features working that you and I expect out of a sound card.

That may sound arrogant, but it's true. I'm a former musician. I had the original digital sound keyboard (yamaha DX7) and paid a buttload of money for it because it WAS that good. For years I did not have a stereo because I could not afford a good one and wouldn't waste money on crappy sound. I have a creative soundcard in my XP machine to go with my 5.1 speakers and it sounds GREAT. The features work and work well. Oh well.

Sorry, you obviously knew what I posted before so my post was useless to you. I'll shut up now and maybe someone else can help you. I rather doubt it though if your DanielK drivers did not give you what you wanted. It's a shame Creative decided to go down this path.
