WMP & Media sharing
I have a Denon AV receiver that has the capability to stream media from my PC.
Problem is that my Vista Ultimate x64 machine will detect the device when WMP is running, but the Denon device does not see the x64 machine.

I have another machine running Vista Ultimate x32 behing the exact same router, which also detects the Denon receiver and the Denon receiver will see this PC.

All firewall settings, etc appear to be the same on both machines.

Any advice/suggestions/ideas why this is not working for me on the x64 machine ?

Hey jspiewak,

hmm Try turning windows firewall off completely, it might help...

Turning the firewall off completely did not work.
Any other suggestions ? I am welcome to try almost anything.

I guess your device needs updating...Can you check with the manufacturer for any device updates?
