I'm not sure you can...th onboard sound is turned on of off through the BIOS.

Why not use the PCI for all your sound?

Re: Multiple sound cards RealTek HD & Auzentech

Thx for your reply,

I am using my PC as HTPC.

The PC has onboard HDMI and onboard sound, so for video (and thus sound) I would like to use HDMI hookon my TV.

The PCI soundcard (with normal jacks) I would like to use for my aplifier.

Cheerz,

Re: Multiple sound cards RealTek HD & Auzentech

Hi Bloemet,

Some applications can use the second soundcard only if they have support for it, I know winamp does have support for choosing the default playback device but not many other applications do and will only use the default device.
