Vista - No sound after installing SP1 - PnP Audio Device problem

I just installed SP1 on my Home Premium 64bit. After installing it, all my sound is gone. I checked the Help page about this subject, and found out that the drivers for my "PnP Audio Device" are not up to date (there is a yellow triangle with !-mark in front of it). I tried to update them via Device Manager, but it didn't work.

What should I do?

If you ever need to find your drivers again just goto ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- and click the green circle for "AutoDetect"

Hi, i have the Asus M2N E SLI aswell, but i have vista home premium 32bit but im having the same prob after installing SP1.

Is the driver the same?

Hey all,

I made the classic mistake of people that don't use these kind of forums a lot, forgot to tell if/how i solved it. well, i just disabled the PnP Audio Device, and bought a seperate sound card for a few bucks, works fine.
