| Vista Home Premium x64 | Headset not functioning.. I have a headset (mic & earphone). I used it on my old system and it worked fine, but now that I've upgraded to Vista x64 it seems to not work. I'm wondering if maybe there is a setting or something that I have missed somewhere? The problem: I can hear sound coming from it...so no problems there. The sound quality is great just like before..now then, the problem is that the mic seems to not work anymore. No one can hear me and I've tried testing by recording myself and it doesn't play back anything either. I also tried hooking it back up to my old PC and it worked fine...so its definitely a software problem of some sort.. Any help would be great...and thank you in advanced to all who contribute. -Xenu |

Hi Xenu, Check both Playback and Recording tabs in the sound control for the settings and also try the configure button located down the bottom of the sound control panel. Steven. | Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Headset not functioning.. They both show it as working. I did a configure on it and it seemed to work okay as well...it said it went successfully. But my friend still can't hear me in TeamSpeak (a program we use for videogames, just incase you don't know..). Is this because of my operating system being 64-bit maybe? Is there any way I can fix this? |

| Windows Vista™ Ultimate | Re: Headset not functioning.. Hey Berenland, Is it set as your default playback device and does your "speakers" have different names in the sound control because duplicate named devices can interfere with playback? |
