Vista - What U Hear Sound Card

Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a sound card that has What U Hear enabled on it, and works with a laptop (PCI Express Only).

I looked at all the Sound Blaster ones, but only 2 are for a laptop, and the only PCI Express is the PCI Express X-Fi Xtreme Audio and I read this on their site:

"The What U Hear recording option is supported in Windows Vista for Sound Blaster X-Fi series (excluding Extreme Audio series) and Sound Blaster Audigy series (excluding Sound Blaster Audigy LE, SE, and Audigy Value)."

So the Extreme Audio doesn't support it supposedly.

So does anyone know of one that will work?

You could use your current sound set up but try using different software to record what you hear.

What are you using for sound now?

You can usually get the same result by changing your recording device to "Stereo Mix".

I'm currently using the default sound card on my laptop, says SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC.

It only has Microphone/Line In and Microphone Array in recording.

And this would mostly used for talking on the internet (Showing someone a song, using on ShoutCast, etc), not recording.

I've heard Stereo Mix and Wave Out have the same effects, but I still don't know what laptop sound cards have that.

Any help would be great.
