| vista home premium x64 | Which soud card best to work in Vista 64 sp1 Seems to be a lot of issues with sound cards in vista 64 sp1. I've been getting crashes in COD4. I play for a while then crash. I disabled the Realtek onboard, and put in my old Audigy 4. I installed the new drivers for vista 64. I tried COD4 again, lasted about 1 hour then crashed. Was able to play longer than with Realtek 888. Is there an X-fi that doesn't crash games in vista 64. Asrock p45 twin turbo-latest bios 1.4 e8500 asus 4870- 8.7 drivers ddr3 1333 mem 4gb Problem seems to be soundcard drivers, not sure though. Since all drivers and bios are most recent. COD4 1.7, crashes in sp or mp both. Last edited by EasyRider; 08-07-2008 at 11:55 AM.. Reason: better question |

| Vista X64 Ultimate | Re: Vista 64 sp1 soundcard I'm not using a Crative soundcard, but I do use the CMEDIA 8788HD based soundcard, the HT Omega Claro in my system, without problems. |
