Realtek jack detection problems

Hi all,
I've been seraching these forums a lot for a solution to my problem, but although it seems many have a similar problme, I haen't found the exact same one with a solution. So here goes:
My Realtek HD Audio-configuration software keeps detecting that a jack has been inserted in the front panel - needless to say that no jack has been inserted. After a few seconds, the software will detect that the jack is no longer connected and a a few seconds later, once again, the jack seems to be connected again. This goes on and on and on. I've uninstalled, reinstalled but to no avail.
I've deselected automatic popup dialouge if something is connected, but the popup keeps popping up.

Re: Realtek jack detection problems

Hi,

Been searching for a fix for the exact same issue. Haven't been able to find anything (exept for this unanswered post) on the forum. Did somebody find a fix for this? or point me to a thread related?

Thx in advance.

Oh.. and tried modifiying the settings in my bios for the frontpanel from HD to ac97 but issue still remains. (read somewhere that that might work but didn't)
