You're welcome. I would use the onboard sound on my D975XBX2, but I have a soundcard that still works good.

The Dolby Control Center is included in the latest audio drivers for the DP35DP motherboard.

Intel® Desktop Board DP35DP Audio: IDT* 92XX Driver

Hello WildEagle,

I just installed the sound driver you referred me. There is no Dolby Control Center included. And I cannot use 7.1 of my Creative T7900 speaker system. Only the 2 front speakers and the subwoofer are working. How can I make my 7.1 speaker system work? Thanks a lot.

The Dolby Control Option is there, it's in one of the last options in the IDT control app.

As for setting 7.1 sound, open up The Control Panel, then double click the icon that is labeled Sound. Then highlight the listing for the onboard sound and select configure. This will enable you to set Vista to 7.1 sound.

Another option for configuring Dolby Surround with the onboard sound, is to highlight the speaker option, associated with the onboard sound and select properties. On one of the tabs you will find options for configuring Dolby Surround sound. There isn't much on the IDT control panel for configuring Dolby Surround Surround, as once it is enabled on the IDT control panel, you can't configure Dolby Surround from the IDT control panel.

Hi WildEagle,

I already did the configuration in the properties of my onboard sound. The test of 7.1 speaker setup is okay, the only problem is the side speakers are not producing sound during the test. The 2 front speakers, the center speaker, the 2 rear speakers, and the subwoofer produced sounds. But when I play my media player, only the 2 front speaker and the subwoofer produced the sounds.

And about the Dolby Control Center, I didn't find in the IDT Control Panel. Friend, if it's okay with you can you send me snapshots how to find those things because I might missed some steps. Thanks a lot WildEagle.

You're gonna have to forgive me, I've been using my HT Omega soundcard, but I have been trying to find some screenshots of the onboard sound control panel on the net.

I figured on keeping my onboard sound, as a backup in case my soundcard croaks.

OK, but you used the word *send* - in a forum you don't send stuff in the open, you send it via PM, and you post in open forums.

I realize this is a little late in time for posting but after doing a search I found this info and also have the program "Dolby Control Center (DCC)" that came with my Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P Motherboard using the I7 Intel 920 with VistaX64. The audio from the onboard is working just fine as I get DTS and Dolby Digital, getting the correct drivers for that was not fun. I am using realtek HD audio driver 6.0.1.5772 to make it all work. I have this DCC and want to see how much better, if at all the DCC will improve the sound. Don't get me wrong, it sounds great and all but if I can improve it with what I have already then why not use it. My problem is I can't find if the "Dolby Control Center" program works in X64. When I tried loading it in my XP machine it stated that the program was a Vista only program. I figure if it is Vista x32 only then it would not allow me to use the install for x64. I checked Gigabytes site and there is no mention of it. I am quite sure if it does work I simply need the correct driver. Does anyone know of one or if it does work in Vista x64 bit? After reading this post I feel that is is compatable but I can only get it working if I can find the correct driver. I did not think creating a new thread was practicle as some of this thread does apply to my situation.

Thanks

Well, Gigabyte just let me know that the Dolby Control Center is not Vista x64 ready, only for Vista 32. Thread closed again.
