5.1 barely working

I just bought a Logitech G51 speaker system to replace my old stereo speakers. I use Vista ultimate x64. I have a Asus P5W DH Deluxe motherboard with included 7.1 sound. I went in the bios to select "vista sound" and HD (instead of ac97). I plugged all satellites to the sub by the book, checked my connections 3 times, plugged to sub to the computer (green=front, black=rear, orange=sub, pink=mic) and assigned the same value in my drivers (Realtek HD Audio Manager). I also went into properties in Windows sound option on my speakers to increase the volume of the color plugs who were set a 0.

After everything, I can only hear sound coming from the sub and the middle speaker (very quiet). If I change the "matrix mode" on my controller hud to game or music, the front right speaker get very loud, both back speakers begin to work correctly, but the center and front left just stop. Also the 5.1 test in my drivers/windows sound options give the same result, but note that the sub play sound too when it's the turn of the middle speaker (with matrix off).

Anyone have any idea? Also, should I set Dolby Pro Logic IIx to on or off?

Edit:
Re-installing drivers did not help... well it did make me realize I had the balance to full right in my drivers (though it was volume), but centering it don't help much. Now I have fronts, middle and sub working correctly, and rears with no sound at all.
