| Vista Ultimate x64 and Vista Home Premium 32bit | Need to send audio from notebook to receiver I recently bought the HP Pavilion dv7-1014ca notebook with Vista x64. I bought it with the intention of setting it up as part of my home entertainment system so that I can watch movies and play computer games on the big screen. I have a projector and 7.1 surround sound set up through my Pioneer VSX-1017TXV-k receiver. Upon trying to connect my notebook to my receiver through HDMI, I found out after much trouble shooting that my receiver does not support audio through an HDMI cable. My notebook does not have an optical out, only HDMI. The biggest problem that I have been running in to is that most work-arounds are not compatible with Vista x64. So I am wondering if there is any way to send the audio signal from my notebook to my receiver? Thanks |
