Playing CD-R discs after copying to blank disc

I'm very new to the forum (and burning and ripping CD's) and this question may have been asked and answered many times but I've been unable to find the answer. I burned a CD-R pre-recorded disc to my hard drive and ripped it to a blank CD-R disc and it seems the only place I can play and hear it is on the laptop on which I recorded it. What do I have to do in order to be able to play the new disc on my AV system and in my car or other CD hardware?
Thanks in advance.

Using media player is the easy way that I have found for new users.
Defending on which format the files are in depends what you can play them on.

To be able to play files on normal audio devices they have to be in the wav format.

Get media player to find the files on your harddrive then choose burn.

If these files are mp3 or another type of compressed file they may not all fit on one cd-r. 25 tracks is the most I have ever been able to fit.
