| Vista Ultimate x64 | AC3 Xvid no sound (SB X-Fi and VCP 4.7.3) 32-bit Hi folks, I'm having problems on my Media Center, it's a 32-bit installation of Vista Home Premium with the latest Vista Codec Pack and most things run smoothly, except I can't get the sound in AVI files (Xvid) with AC3 codec. My guess is that it's trying to play them over SPDIF but I only have the stereo speakers (1 analogue cable going to the TV). A full surround system might be a distant future upgrade but right now I just want stereo sound. Windows Media player isn't throwing up any complains so I'm guessing it loaded the codec propely. I just dont know what to do |
