| Windows Vista Home Premium. | No sound after an update. So I just updated Vista on my machine, and after it finished updating, and restarting, my sound was gone. And every time I try to turn up the volume it says "No Audio Output Device Is Installed". But it was working before the update. D= HELP. PC: HP Pavilion dv 6000 (GM006UA#ABL) Other bits of information I also don't understand can be found here. I have no idea what that means, but it might be handy information. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: No sound after an update. This happened to me after upgrading from Home Basic to Home Premium. I could get no sound for some time then some clever guy in the shop where I purchased my computrer upgraded my sound drivers from "SigmaTel Audio CODEC" to "SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC", obtaining some drivers from the internet somewhere, and it has since all worked fine since.
