| Vista Home Premium 64bit | USB headset problems Here's what happened - I have had the same Logitech usb headset for about a year now. I've been using it on XP for about 11 months and recently switched over to Vista. It would work ok for about a week then while talking in Vent it just stopped working. The speakers in it would work but the microphone wouldn't. What happened? What could've caused the headset to stop working completely while I was in the middle of a conversation? I've read there's a driver out there I have to get but I've also heard I don't need one. |

| vista home premium SP1 32bit | Re: USB headset problems go to start menu and click control panel, followed by hardware and sound then you will see a list, the third down is "SOUND" click it, and then selet the "RECORDING" tab.. see if your mic is set as the default recording device, if not set it as the default if it is already the default, i would suggest using system restore to go bak to a time when you could still use it... if this doesnt sort out your problem, it may be that you mic has broken just just like the speakers in earphones can be blown easily... |
