| Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Unable to change volume Recently had a Computer problem and for no reasons I had been asked to reintall Norton AntiVirus. Then my com sorta had flashing digits and words during the restart. After it the sound menu sorta spoilt? Whenever i click on it, it just opens up and immediately closed.I tried accessing the control panel too, but it couldnt work. Help? |

When you uninstalled Norton did you use their special uninstall tool ? Did you replace it with a good antivirus/ malware program ? What is the make and model of the machine you are using? I used back norton anti virus.Im using HP desktop. The last time i checked using Norton AntiVirus i was infected with InfoStealer.lineage and W32Virut.U |

The W32 virus may be the Blaster worm - suggest you download the special removal tool from the top left of this link W32.Blaster.Worm Removal Tool - Symantec.com Scan thoroughly and follow any instructions. Then download, install, update and do a thorough scan with the free Malwarebytes Malwarebytes.org Hope it helps SIW2 |

| Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Re: Unable to change volume Erm trying out malwarebyte now.The W32Blast thingy gave me an error which says: You do not have administrator rights to run this tool.Pleasy contact your network administrator for more information. I am the only user on this desktop and i have been using the same account since the day i bought my dekstop. My account has already been created when i started using my pc. |
