WMP11 admin rights issue

Hello everyone,

I have a Vista Ultimate x86 and for like two days ago I ran into an annoying problem. Normally, I'm using a Standard User Account and use an admin account only in certain cases. UAC is of course running as well. Before this I've been able to launch ordinary video clips and movie streaming services that use Windows Media Player (for DRM) and Flash Player (version 10 installed) both with both Internet Explorer and Firefox (3.03 with WMP plugin) without any problems but now it doesn't work anymore. When I try to open a clip or start a movie trailer on a film site the player only says "Ready" but it won't start buffering. On streaming movie sites that use IE+WMP, IE also states that there are "errors on page". I'm using the Vista firewall and I've tried opening all possible ports for WMP streaming (TCP 1755, 554) and allow and Media Player parts without success.

BUT, if I use the admin account OR launch the browsers (both IE and FF) as administrator within the standard user account (by right clickin IE.exe or FF.exe and choosing 'run as adminstrator') I won't run into any problems. Windows Media Player and Flash Player will start buffering directly no matter whether I use IE or FF and when using these stream movie services that use IE+WMP, IE no longer says "errors on page".

The only update I installed just before the problem occured was KB958644.
I've uninstalled the WMP-plugin for FF several times and also Flash Player, for both IE and FF.

Anyone have any ideas?

I don't wanna start using an admin account again just for this sake since I have had no problems with the standard user account before this week.
