| vista home basic 32bit | Windows Vista Media Player Stutter In Playback I have windows vista home basic. It came pre-installed on a 2GHz celeron laptop and whenever i play songs in media player, at exactly the same time from the end of a song (which seems to change from day to day but today is 1m14s), it jerks\judders\stuuters. Can anyone help. It happens on every song, irrespective of their source (downloaded or from CD), but if i play the songs singly i.e one at a time, it doesn't do it. It only occurs when multiple tracks are added to the play list. Please help me as i am going off my head. Last edited by dmex; 11-17-2008 at 03:24 AM.. |

| vista home basic 32bit | Re: Windows Vista Media Player Stutter In Playback My laptop came with 1Gb of DDR Ram and its a 2GHz Celeron, 533 FSB. it should have enough ram. I had an old desktop before with 768Mb and a 1.7GHz processor and that handled it okay. i don't know why but it only does it when multiple songs are in the play list. when a single file is in the list, it plays without bother. When played in another program i.e Power DVD 8, there is not a problem, even with multiple files. Cannot understand it, but looking down the forums, i can see others have the same problem. One user has a Turion 64 X2 processor and 2GB DDR and he is also experiencing the problem, so it cannot be lask of ram. Curiouser and curiouser. Maybe I should go back to my ZX Spectrum (!!) Astana |
