| Vista Ultimate x64 | No HD Audio after SLEEP. Hi, I've just built a new HTPC and while it works OK there are still a few BUGS. The main one is that there is NO HD AUDIO after Sleep. After booting up the computer the HD Audio works as expected. It is being outputed via the graphics card ( cable from m/b to gpu) and a hdmi adaptor to a plasma. When woken from "SLEEP MODE" there is no sound, nothing from media player or vista sounds. This is fixed by rebooting. I have tryed installing vista 32 and 64bit both with and without sp1, I have tryed all available drivers for the motherboard and graphics card. Nothing Makes any difference. What have I noticed?? When woken from sleep while there is no sound being outputed all indications from vista are the same as if there were. The MIXER shows the sound level changing for the "RealTek HDMI Output" and its volume can be changed using the application volume control. In my testing I tryed playing audio at different times of the install and THIS looks just as it would if no Graphics card drivers are installed. So the QUESTION.......what is it?? Software? Operating System? Hardware? Bios? ANY help would be appreciated as I'm just about over the whole experience. | Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: No HD Audio after SLEEP. Quick Update- Reponse from EVGA Tech support are you using the SDPIF cable from the on-board audio to the video card? if so it might be an issue with the display not being seen properly upon startup, I would suggest when returning from sleep make sure that your TV is on before that and you should be good. Unfortunatly the TV doesnt get turned of for the 10 seconds of sleep during testing. Mind you he may be onto something............. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: No HD Audio after SLEEP. I just did alittle test..... I hooked up a digital cable from motherboards digital audio out to my amplifier and changed settings in realteck control and I had audio before AND after sleep. Does that rule anything out as a problem?? |
