| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Player issues Two issues ... first, "save as" does not work when playing video clips I have downloaded. The option shows in the drop-down window, but is not highlighted and is not active. Second, when I play a video clip, the audio does not stop when I click on stop. The video stops, but the audio continues until the end of the clip. This is a new PC running Vista Home Premum SP1. Any suggestions? Thank you! |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Player issues To use "save as" you must have done some changes to it or want to make changes to the Video... Alas, with over 800 varieties in the AVI video wrapper extension alone you will need to provide a HELL OF A LOT MORE information before anyone can give a meaningful response As for you second issue..again...what is the video file...where did you get it from...what are you playing it with... You get the jist...but I'm not going to guess at any answers... But here's a hint...a reply from you with less than 12 sentences is probably not going to be enough info |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Player issues The questions are pretty clear ... twelve plus sentences should not be necessary for comprehension. "Save as" in Windows Media Player will not work for ANY video clip, ANY format downloaded from ANYWHERE online. I am not changing anything in the file, unless maybe changing its name, and attempting to use "save as" to move/copy it efficiently from the download folder to an archive folder. Second, ANY video clip, ANY format, from ANYWHERE will continue to play audio after hitting "stop," even though the video portion stops and Windows Media Play closes. I have never had these issues with any previous version of Windows Media Player. It doesn't get any clearer than that. Here's a hint ... save your attempt at an insult for someone else. Thank you to anyone who can propose a solution to these issues! |
