Vista - Why does 5.1 not work please help me guys

i have every thing set to 5.1 and only the front 2 speakers work. I have check to see if the colours were in the right place and they are also i did the sound test and all 5 speakers were playing, does any one know why it is doing this

ok so is it that the surround sound function doesnt work? or is it that when you play sound through them only the front 2 work?
also i cant tell from your system specs if you have a sound card that supports surround sound. If you could shed a bit more light on the situation id be happy to help!

Control Panel sound. Look for speaker setup. Change it to 5.1. It defaults to 2 speaker. You can do a speaker check.

Hi iki080,

Is Speaker Fill enabled, as shown below? This option creates a virtual environment for playback of stereo audio sources on surround speaker systems.
