MIDI device

Is this thing a type of hardware, software I can purchase, or is it more of a pain in the ass than it's worth?

How do I get a new one?

Re: MIDI device

Strange that you get this message. I get it with Sonar, a piece of music software. A midi device is something like a musical keyboard, drum machine etc that you interface with the program with.

Re: MIDI device

I still listen to MIDIs sometimes. But I am old school that way.

This goes way back, before MP3 ever existed. Those were MIDI's that I downloaded using my 2400 baud modem from a local BBS run by my friend (in the 1980s).

Ah, the good old days.

its a shame really, midi was useless, but innovative when it came out, mainly used for connecting musical instruments to other musical instruments(electrical of course) or connecting to a computer using Cubase or Sonar, also was implemented into cell/mobile phones for polyphonic ringtones, yes, the undistinguishable music that was pumping out of a nokia in the 90s, it was fun though, you can listen to midi files anywhere on the internet, they have a .mid extension and im sure i have a few on my computer, haha, heres highway to hell by ACDC in midi format :P
