| Vista Ultimate 32 SP1 | 5.1 center speaker problem. Help! Hi All, I recently built a new PC with Vista 32 Ultimate. The mobo is Intel DX58SO that has the Realtek ALC889 sound card built in hooked to an Altec Lansing 151i surround system (2 front speakers+2 rear speakers + Center speaker and sub). From the Realtek manager I tried the 5.1 settings and the 7.1 without the side speakers and it worked ok. After a short while, I noticed that no sound was coming out of the center speaker, in fact if I put my ear on it I can hear it extremely low. I updated the drivers and it started working again. The next day the problem came back; same center speaker problem. This time I tried everything with 3 drivers to no avail. Please can anyone help? I'm getting desperate. Do you have any experience with this set-up? Thankyou kindly. |
