| Vista Ultimatex64 | realtec, no sound. vista says no problems The sound failed a while back for no apparent reason, no new hardware, possibly new software. I installed a pci sound card it worked fine. I just installed a pctv card in the slot my sound occupied. I have tv and no sound. I have updated realtec drivers, the device manager says it's working properly, when I open the audio manager it says its sending sound to the speakers. Please let me know if you have a clue |

| Vista Home Premium 32-bit & Vista Ultimate 64-bit both Service Pack 2 W7 Pro RTM 7600 32 & 64 | Re: realtec, no sound. vista says no problems Hi rlamon and welcome to Vista Forums ![]() Are you saying that you have lost sound altogether, or do you still have sound but just not from the TV card? It could be that there is actually nothing wrong with the hardware, only you might have forgotten to connect the audio loop-through cable. Check the bracket of the TV card. Is there a socket on there, similar to your audio sockets, marked Audio Out (or similar)? If there is, you need a patch lead to connect it to your line-in socket. You will then have to activate this socket and set the correct function and levels from within the Realtek interface program. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP1 | Re: realtec, no sound. vista says no problems You have to download the drivers off off Realteks website. I had the identical problem as you. If that doesnt work, there is also a connectors on the motherboard that have to be connected with a jumper if you don't have the connectors connected to you front audio ports in your computer. |

| Vista Ultimatex64 | Re: realtec, no sound. vista says no problems Thanks, I have already installed the new drivers, and all the connectors are connected, the sound worked as designed until November, then it stopped working, I had a spare sound card and installed it, problem solved, until I needed my only pci slot for a tv tuner card, now I am trying to get the onboard audio back up and running, I have made sure the bios is set, installed the latest drivers from realtec, uninstalled and reinstalled the hardware |
