    Sound device problem (recording)

    Hey,

I'm having a bit of a problem here...

I use traktor DJ studio which I want to record in Adobe Audition 3.0.
Unfortunatly I can't get vista to record the sounds it's giving out, which I could on xp..

Im using realtek HD audio manager 6.0.1.

Anyone know how to get it work ?

(Btw in AC97 I used Stereo MIX as the pc recording channel)

stereo mix doesnt exist in windows vista anymore as it used to be processed individually by directx and openAL, now its only processed by WaveRT but does have support for other formats but can be glitchy. so the jacks can be controlled individually by you instead of windows, to fix this problem, its a case of setting it up in windows to how you want it, your default recording device needs to be set.
you can set it to line in and buy yourself a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack to create your own stereo mix.

Hey thnx for the reply, but i've already fixed the problem

And just so you know, stereo mix does still excist in vista ^^

Settings->Sound-> go to the "record" tab-> right mouse button in the devices field, and check the tab wher it says something like "show the devices that aren't connected" (I have dutch version so don't know exactly what it says in english ver.)
And there it is; stereo mix!
