| Vista Home Basic 32 bit | voume mixer missing I have an inspiron 1520 using windows vista basic. I have lost sound and can't seem to get it back. The system recognizes the speakers and they are working, however the the system indicates there is no volume mixer installed. I have tried everything short of chucking this computer against the wall. Please, please help me get my sound back. ![]() Debbie |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: voume mixer missing Hello Debbie, and welcome to Vista Forums. Do you have the Volume icon in the notification area? If so, does right clicking on it and clicking on Open volume mixer open it? You might also see if reinstalling the latest audio drivers for you computer model below may help restore it.
