sound in Vista

hi,

there seems to be a delay in me pressing play ,then about a minute later the sound will come out,i can turn my sound card off,and then it sometimes works, its like it freezes,is it because i got the sound card through fire wire,

Re: sound in Vista

Yes, probably

But why do you have the sound through firewire?

I use Cubase 4.5 and Sonar 7.02 Producer.

I see your using the SP66 By Cakewalk. Are you using Sonar as well?

Re: sound in Vista

Also make sure you have the latest drivers installed for the sound card. You may also want to go into your Bios and disable onboard sound if your MB has it. There could be some internal conflict over the sound devices fighting for IRQs (doubtful, but you never know).
