I'm not sure if its related to faulty codecs or drivers. My mobo is an Asus P5K Deluxe with integrated sound. I would appreciate any help...

Hi wingy17, Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the information pasted from "Problem Reports and Solutions".

Just Rename SFDAPO64.dll (Related to Sonic) and verify.

It may be due to "Fast Resume". Try this fix from microsoft.

Refer this Article.

Good Luck

Hi Kernel, thank you for the quick response. I will give that a try when I get back home from work, and give an update.

we'll I don't really understand it, but I do not have a SFDAPO64.dll file on my computer. For that matter, I'm not too sure what Sonic is (i don't have any Sonic software installed).

I haven't tried that fix you posted, but what exactly does "Fast Resume" do... will I be losing any benefits when deactivating it?

And I just noticed, this file seams to be affecting other programs:

It could be a virus or spyware

Just try Advanced Search and Rename the file after Taking Ownership

Good luck

Hello again. Well.. it seems your first post helped me out in the end. I tried finding out more information on this dreaded file (SFDAPO64.dll) and found out that it is connected to my onboard SoundMAX driver (more specifically to the Sonic Focus features of the software package); as you mentioned in your earlier post.

For some reason the file SFDAPO64.dll no longer was on the computer (from what I gathered). So i uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for my SoundMAX and the problem was still happening. I then went inside the software package and "unchecked" the Sonic Focus option which is suppose to enhance sound in some way.

Tried sleeping the computer again... and voilà... no more error. It has to be something to do with Sonic Focus and my P5K deluxe mobo, i'm not sure.

I think that fixes, it. If it happens again... i will probably be back here.

Thanks again.
