| Vista Ultimate x64 SP2/ Windows 7 RC X64 | Re: Vista And SRS Audio Sandbox Well is not all bad news after all from SRS Labs. I was informed today by one of their support agents, that they are aware of the crashing of Audio Sandbox in Vista x64. They said that it is a bug with the soud driver of SRS and that they are working on it to fix it. they will let me know when the fix is released. and of course I will let you all know. 'Till then let SRS crash as long as it sound good!!!!!!! |

| XP 32-bit, Vista x64, Windows 7x64 | Re: Vista And SRS Audio Sandbox I have a fix, that might work, its worked for me. Instead of using the newest version witch i believe, you are having the problem with, install the 1.7v , and enable it to start up with your computer. I have never had a problem with it ever, not once, w/ Vista x64 I have a onboard sound card, wtih asus mother board, realtech a97' audio drivers, but as we all know srs installs its own driver, witch you must use, (and make sure it enabled in the device manager). i think the problem lies in the newest version 1.9v. use 1.7v,. The problem i ran into while using SRS on vista, and not xp was, that... there is no way (until now, iv lernt a work around) to use your srs while outputting the sound via your SPIDIF aka digital out, weather it be optical or digital coax, while Xp allows for the SRS Digital output combination in vista you must select either speaker or digital output more or less disabling the ability to output digital while using the SRS feature. I have since found a work around , but its just that ... a workaround. ..... basicly , from the speaker port on the back of the computer, I put a jumper cable aka a 1/8th regual headphone jack, from the speaker output into the "line in" input, then i go to recording divices, on the volume/sound/playback menu, select enable "Line in" duble click and go to the listen tab. and check the box that says listen and then under that select the digital out and not the speaker or the defult. and if that helps you witch i cant see it, not .cuz SRS is great but we'd all still like to use SPDIF aka Digital sound instead of Anolog. RIGHT? well if you have a Digital Coax or Optical then this will help you, injoy. dsw274@yahoo.com - Daniel DSW |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP2/ Windows 7 RC X64 | Re: Vista And SRS Audio Sandbox Hey dsw274 Thanks for this post! I'm sure this will help a lot of people. Personaly i have an MSI K9N SLI V2, and for the audio I got the SPIDF pins in the MoBo but not the plug itself. I should check on getting the SPIDF plug since I noticed that the default configuration for SRS starts out with SPIDF, I have to change it to the Realtek HD output manually, but once it is set it keeps this configuration. It is also configured to autostart with the system. Now for the jumper "workaround" may be worth trying. I'll check it out and let you know how it went... |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista And SRS Audio Sandbox Hi guys.. The only thing I tried to fix this problem and it worked fine. the driver from SRS audio sandbox conflict with the driver sound card ...that 's why you must install the lastest driver before install SRS. Secondly, the configuration checklist must detect correct what the sound card is... such ah if you got the sound card 5.1, but in configuration checklist at SRS can notdetect and status is no... you must to right click on the icon speaker, choose sound... then you will see the speak with your sound card control is not default and the speaker at your SRS control is default. Click on speaker which SRS is default and choosing configure, the you select the correct audio channel at your sound card, then click on test to make sure you can hear all voice from all of your speaker then you click up to finish. Now when you you open back to SRS sandbox and choose "configuration checklist and click at refrese button. Your status at "SAS is configured for your sound" will be change to yes. Now you sound at SRS detected correct sound channel and will not be conflict to your sound driver... It will fix the problem of yoursound for people who use ista ult x64. HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU FIX YOUR PROBLEM WITH SRS. Cheer. |
