Creative Audigy problems w/ Vista 64

I rebuilt my PC about 6 months ago, changed motherboard, hard drive, DVD/CD player recorder, keyboard, CPU, GPU and 8 GB ram and Vista 64.

one of the things I kept was my old Audigy Platinum EX sound card and I got it working for the most part however many of the buttons and whistles were disabled.

I just purchased a nice Sennheiser PC350 Headset for gaming, music and also for a good VOIP.
Sadly it appears that one of those "options" that no longer work on my old Audigy with Vista 64 are the Headphones.

I could not figure a way around it either so I went ahead and ordered a new sound card.
I dropped Creative because of all the BS I keep hearing and the only card they had that "might" work well on Vista 64 and with headphones was their "X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion" but it seems as though they are still having many driver problems with Vista.

So I opted for a "HT Omega Clario Halo 24 bit 192KHz with built in Hi Fi Headphone Amplifier"

Newegg.com - HT OMEGA Claro Halo 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card w/ a built-in HI-FI Headphone Amplifier - Sound Cards

I hope this card works well for gaming from what I can tell I can not imagine why it wouldn't.
I got the headset for gaming and with this card I should be able to listen in simulated 5.1 surround through the headset (DHT) which should sound outstanding.

Anyone here have this card or know anything about it?

I ordered it last night and should be here by Monday.

I feel your pain with Creative's cards as of late. I have an Audigy SE I can't use with Vista x64. Although the on board sound on my mobo is quite good for onboard sound.

That may very well be the case on their newer cards although there are a lot of people in their forums complaining about everything Creative running on Vista.

My problem is I had an older card, a Audigy Platinum Ex that I think is about 6+ years old, even though I downloaded their new drivers that are supposed to be Vista 64 compatible and I got it to "work" although without virtually everything that I bought a Audigy Platinum Ex for in the first place.
But I made due with it until the final straw which was absolutely zero headphone support.

I figured if I was going to pay $200 for a sound card I was going to get one where every single person that I saw giving a review had nothing but praise for it running on Vista.
Not to mention the specs are far better.

I am getting it tomorrow so I will know for sure then.
