Recording volume on Microphone decreasing

I got a problem in my microphone volume. I put it to 100 and then i have the +30 db boost on realtek and on the windows sound system. When I speak in the microphone, the microphone volume keeps decreasing automatically. I have tried unticking the exclusive mode things and also the things in enhancement ( controlpanel>sound>microphone>properties)I have updated all drivers but this still occurs.
Does anyone have a clue how to fix this problem? I would like to keep my recording volume stable.

After some researching I found out the problem. I thought it was Vista, whereas really the problem was the program that was utilizing the microphone feature, which in my case was SKYPE. Everytime I was on a skype call, the other user would say my voice was going in and out. WHen I would open the Microphone level in VISTA i would see the level decrease automatically by itself. At first I assumed it was VISTA problem, but I found out that there is a setting in Skype that was causing this. In case any of you also had the same problem, when Skype was logged on I had to go to TOOLS, than OPTIONS, than under the "GENERAL" section, I went to AUDIO SETTINGS and unchecked the check mark that says "automatically adjust microphone settings". I haven't really been able to extensively test it or see if that setting remains the same when unchecked, but at least we are getting to the root of the problem!
