Hi Guys,

Ive got a problem where the mic is only picked up once it is unplugged and plugged back in again. Ive updated the drivers and put a splitter in the mic jack to try and stop the socket from wearing down. The problem is I have to remove the splitter and plug that back in for it to pick it up now. Its an
Asus P5N-E SLI 650i Socket 775 PCI-E Onboard Audio ATX Motherboard running onboard sound with realtek drivers.

Any help would be great

Re: mic only picked up once jack removed/plugged back in

Looks like I have found the problem on this one. There were multiple input devices and the mic was not set as the default. This was why I was having to remove the jack and put it back in again. Once mic was set as default it works fine every time without having to remove the jack
