New thread old question

Hi, I am totaly new to vista and I bought a new computor which came with a plantronics headset and mic . It is not a usb fitting but 2 jacks. I have green and pink jacks front and rear of the computor. I can hear through the headphones but I cant seem to get the mic to work...do I have to set it up in Vista?? I cant see the headset show up anywhere and I dont and wont need speakers. Thanks Jim.

Re: New thread old question

Right-click on the volume icon in the taskbar and select recording devices. You should then select your device and select configure.

It will then open up the speech recognition window where you select "set up your microphone" and from there you just follow the prompts.

Hope it helps.
