Yet another Speaker/Headphone Thread

Hi, I read a number of threads on here already in relation to trying to get my headphones to work on my Toshiba Satellite laptop. I've managed to get my headphones to play music (barely, because they still play although the volume is set to zero on the computer, yet full on Realplayer). Now, I deactivated my speakers on the control panel, but now there is no way I can reactivate them. The "Show Disabled Devices" does not exist as far as I know. If you're not aware by now, I am computer illiterate.

Can't enable speakers

Thanks, Gnocchi.

Hi Gnocchi, Welcome to the Forum.

Right click on your speaker icon, click on Playback Devices, Right click on one of the audio devices and then click on show disabled devices.

You should also be able to select and configure a headphone device.

I hope this helps
