| Windows Vista Home Premium 32bits SP 1 - French | Microphone not detected after installation of SP2 Hi guys. I'm on my friend's computer at the moment. It has a strange problem. The microphone, after installing the 64-bit SP2, is not detected anymore by Vista/Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Extreme (PCIe 1x). The microphone in question... is a simple microphone. Not USB. His config is : Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz 4GB of RAM (1033MHz DDR2) 320GB of Hard drive Ati Radeon 4850 512MB Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Extreme Sound Card Realtek HD On-board Sound (Desactivated) Windows Vista Home Premium (FR) x64 The drivers are up-to-date. I even desinstalled them and reinstalled them. Of course, I tried to connect/deconnect. Are there any other things we could try? (Without spending a penny please). My friend wants to try everything possible before getting on the on-board audio chip. Thanks for helping. EDIT Something was wrong in the creative software. But we got it working now. Thanks anyway. | Windows Vista Home Premium 32bits SP 1 - French | Re: Microphone not detected after installation of SP2 ^ It has to do with the Creative software. I don't remember exactly which one or where but in one place you can change what jack does what. In that choice, I think you have "Microphone jack". The problem lies in the Creative software. It's not Windows ![]() Keep searching. |
