Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset Issue

G'day guys,

I'm having a problem with my Microsoft headset. Basically, only one headphone/speaker (left speaker) is working, and the microphone's output is just 100% static.

EDIT: Nothing comes out of microphone. Freshly installed drivers, volume max, NOT muted.

Anyone know why?

Cheers,
Hungry

I have the exact same headset and almost the same problem.

Both the speakers work but the mic produces a lot of static. So much in fact that if I am using it for Skype all the other person can hear is static.

I do apologise for not being able to provide any help but I suppose letting you know that you are not the only one is help of sorts.

It's probably broken. I may have to take it apart as my warranty is over.
