| Vista Home Premium 32bit. | No sound from my Acer M5201 I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit, on an Acer M5201. I installed drivers for my Samsung printer, which seems to work after a fashion and then I noticed the Acer lost sound. Very simple stuff no sounds from youtube etc. I have realtek high definition audio installed.I may need new drivers ?..but not sure which.Visited realtek site but still no wiser. I have had problem for at least three weeks so any advice would be very much appreciated. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 sp2, Solaris x64 | Re: No sound from my Acer M5201 Hi Dkennion, Reinstalling the audio driver should fix the problem with the sound. Anyway, my advice, download all drivers for your computer and safe them on the CD disc for future use. Drivers you will find on this site Drivers Aspire M5201. Cheers... |

| Vista home premium 32bt | Re: No sound from my Acer M5201 Hi, I'm new here. Have'nt found a simple way to post yet. Anyway I have an Acer Aspire AM1100-B1410A. Two years old. I cannot produce sound with my mic. I was talking to some for awhile on my computer when they said they could no longer hear me. I do'nt know what happened. It seems like the mic. jacks stoped working. Do you think a new driver would help my sistuation? The computer will play cds and music from Mediaplayer. Jack jjwg03@yahoo.com |

| Vista Ultimate x64 sp2, Solaris x64 | Re: No sound from my Acer M5201 Hi Jack, Welcome to the Forum. You can try to reinstall or install new version of the Mic driver. I'm sorry, but I was unable to find any drivers for your PC. Seems like there is no such model on the Acer site. ![]() Also, you can check if you mic is used as the default device. Right click the speaker icon on the taskbar and select Recording Devices, again right click Microphone and click "Set as the default device" if you can see this option. You can check in the Properties window in the Level tab if the Mic is turned on, move the sliders max to the right to boost the sound. Hopefully it helps. |

| Vista home premium 32bt | Re: No sound from my Acer M5201 Hi Martee, When I bring up the recording window the only thing working is the stero mix. Everything else is either disabled or unpluged. This is not true as the mic. is pluged in. When I bring up the option box the mic default is grayed out. When I open the propertys I can uncheck everything but mic is still grayed out. The mic is a Labtec AM252 NCAT I bought the Acer a year ago with two years maintaince agreement. I called thiere support and said although I have the agreement theres nothing they will do to help me. They have service centers in Texes and Canada. I will never get a service agreement again. I bought it from Wal-Mart For about the last six months it worked good. This is an aspire AM 1100. Jack W.
