| Vista Home Premium x64 | Output Different Applications to Different Devices? Just wondering if anybody could help me. I have Vista Home Premium 64bit and also a Creative Soundblaster Soundcard. I was wondering if you can output different applications to the different devices? i.e. Speakers for Music and Game through Headphones. Some applications have this feature in the software. i.e. Propellerheads Reason 4.0 allows you to chose the Output device of the sounds in the preferences menu. If anybody can help, appreciate it. Can't think what else to say but it you want to know something that could help just ask me Thanks Aaron |

| Vista business x64 | Re: Output Different Applications to Different Devices? I've never actually tried this but it might be achievable by going to your playback devices and setting them to 'allow applications to take exclusive control'. In your playback devices be sure to have both your headphones and speakers enabled. Depending on which of your applications can choose a dedicated output you will either have to do one of the following: if the game you play allows you to select headphones, do this and set your speakers as default audio device. your game should 'take exclusive control' of your headphones while your mediaplayer plays normally on your speakers. if the media playback software allows you to select speakers, do this and set your headphones as default audio device. your media player should take exclusive control of your speakers and your game plays normally on your headphones. If this doesn't work try looking for solutions on creative forums. If it is possible with the creative drivers/programs surely you should be able to find out on their site(s). Good luck! |
