I do a re-install of vista OS. It's been like this everytime I do a format and re-install Vista. I managed to get sound through the speakers again by doing many removal of the different drivers/codecs but now I just cannot get it to sound through the speakers. I get sound all the time through the headphones jack but it is a hazzle to get them through the speakers. Why is this? Any suggestions please?

Turn off auto detection of the audio jacks, remove the connections, reboot, plug in the speakers and see if they work.
